Clint advises across the full spectrum of the firm’s practice, including general contractual advisory matters such as agency/client contracts, distribution and supply agreements, disputes, media, talent, sponsorship, licensing and all types of intellectual property agreements.
Clint also advises on corporate matters including M&A matters such as share and asset sale agreements, shareholder agreements and disputes, and legal matters relating to new companies. Clint also provides legal clearance advice for advertising and marketing campaigns, and is the Principal in charge of the firm’s trade marks and brand protection practice area.
Clint has been with the firm since 2005 and has been a Principal since 2012. Clint has law and commerce degrees from Deakin University and an MBA (Hons, Dean’s List) from Melbourne Business School, and is an officer of the Supreme Court of Victoria and admitted to practice as an Australian lawyer.
“My relationship to my client is that of a commercial advisor and a lawyer, and those two roles are 1A and 1B in terms of importance. Giving commercially useless legal advice is of no value. I see the most important part of my job to be ensuring that the firm’s clients are empowered by the law, not crippled by it.”
