Supplier Code of Conduct

 

Introduction

Anisimoff Legal Pty Ltd (“Anisimoff Legal”) is fully aware of the responsibility we have to our clients, employees and communities in which we work. We are therefore committed to engaging with suppliers in accordance with good corporate governance, and ethical standards.

The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to ensure that each of our suppliers, i.e. any entity who does business with Anisimoff Legal or any of its divisions, including any business partner or vendor, adheres to these ethical standards. We require all suppliers to comply with this Code of Conduct. The principles outlined in this document set out minimum standards that apply to all Anisimoff Legal’s suppliers. We also expect our suppliers to apply the principles outlined in this Code of Conduct to their own supply chain and ensure, to the extent possible, their suppliers adhere to these principles.

We do not intend this Code of Conduct to impose onerous obligations on our suppliers. We expect that our suppliers will have implemented adequate measures to comply with the legal, ethical, social and environmental requirements and best practices in Australia and internationally, as may be applicable.

Compliance with Laws and this Code

Anisimoff Legal’s suppliers must comply with all applicable local and international laws and regulations in all locations they operate their business. We expect our suppliers to implement appropriate policies, procedures and training to comply with applicable regulatory frameworks and this Code of Conduct.

Business Integrity and Ethics

We expect all suppliers to act ethically, honestly and fairly in all activities they undertake.

Suppliers must avoid financial, business or other relationships which may prevent them from complying with their arrangements with Anisimoff Legal.

A conflict of interest arises when an individual has a private/personal interest which could appear to influence their decisions. Any supplier that has a conflict of interest, whether real or perceived, must immediately report it to Anisimoff Legal, and reasonable measures required by Anisimoff Legal to address the conflict must be immediately enacted, or else Anisimoff Legal reserves the right to immediately terminate its relationship with the supplier by notice.

Suppliers must not use or disclose any confidential information or commercially sensitive information in its possession related to dealings with Anisimoff Legal to any third parties unless authorised by Anisimoff Legal in writing.

Working Environment

Human Rights and Ethical Behaviour

Anisimoff Legal respects all human rights and we place a high value on those rights relating to non-discrimination, fair treatment and privacy in the conduct of our operations. We strongly believe that every employee is entitled to a working environment which promotes dignity and respect to all.

Our suppliers must not engage in discrimination, inhumane treatment or abuse of their workers. Suppliers are to respect and provide a safe working environment for every worker engaged in their operations. Anisimoff Legal expects its suppliers to have adequate policies and procedures that address discrimination, bullying, harassment (including sexual harassment), victimisation, abuse and any other unlawful conduct, or threats of any such treatment. We also expect our suppliers to provide safe channels for workers to be able to report any harmful behaviour. Where requested, our suppliers must provide evidence of same to us.

Diversity and Inclusion

Anisimoff Legal embraces the principles of diversity and equality. We strive to create a working environment that encourages social and cultural awareness and acceptance. We recognise that this inclusive approach makes us more creative, productive and competitive, and we expect these principles to be embraced by all of our suppliers.

Our suppliers should aim to adopt practices and procedures that promote an inclusive and respectful environment within their workforce and supply chain. We also expect our suppliers to foster equality in their operations and avoid discrimination in recruitment or advancement of their workers.

Health and Safety

Anisimoff Legal requires its suppliers to comply with applicable State and Federal health and safety laws, as enacted in their jurisdiction.  Suppliers must strive to implement standards of occupational health and safety at a high level by applying a health and safety management approach appropriate to its business. Suppliers should have processes to provide a work environment that is safe and conducive to good health, to preserve the health of employees, prevent accidents and work related illness.

Modern Slavery

Anisimoff Legal has a zero-tolerance approach to any imposition of, or connection to, modern slavery and human trafficking. We expect all our suppliers to use all reasonable measures to identify and address the risks of modern slavery in their operations and supply chains, including of any entities they own or control.  

Practices that constitute modern slavery include human trafficking, slavery, servitude, forced labour, debt bondage, forced marriage, and the worst forms of child labour.

Suppliers must comply with any State and/or Federal modern slavery laws that may be applicable to them, and where required, provide any assistance to Anisimoff Legal as reasonably required to enable Anisimoff Legal (or its clients) to comply with their own legal or contractual obligations pertaining to modern slavery.

Child Labour

Suppliers must not use child labour in their operations. Where applicable local legislation permits employment or engagement of minors, suppliers must ensure they comply with all legislative requirements and follow best practice relating to adequate protection, support and guidance for such workers.

Employee Entitlements

Suppliers must pay their workers in accordance with applicable legislation, including modern awards and national employment standards. Suppliers must ensure that their workers are paid at least the applicable minimum wage, statutory benefits, superannuation, and (where applicable) leave entitlements.

Anti-corruption and anti-bribery

Anisimoff Legal commits to acting professionally, fairly and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships wherever we operate. We implement and enforce effective systems to counter bribery and corruption within our operations.

We expect our suppliers to take bribery and corruption seriously. Suppliers must ensure that they take a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption by implementing procedures to mitigate corruption in any form. Suppliers must comply with any applicable anti-corruption or anti-bribery laws. Suppliers should not offer any gift, hospitality or payment that could be perceived to improperly influence or advantage the outcome of a business transaction.

Fair competition

Anisimoff Legal operates in accordance with the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) as amended. We expect that our suppliers will not enter arrangements or engage in behaviours which restrict, prevent or distort competition in local and global markets in breach of applicable competition laws.

Environmental practices

Anisimoff Legal is committed to minimising the risks and impact on the environment through through efficient use of materials, waste reduction, encouraging recycling and environmentally friendly document storage practices.

We expect and encourage our suppliers to take an active part in reducing negative impacts on environment and adhere to the following environmental practices:

  • Suppliers should be aware of the environmental impacts of the products and services they provide. Policies should be implemented to reduce any significant environmental impacts and avoid potential environmental hazards.
  • Suppliers should comply with all applicable environmental legislation so that all products or services supplied to Anisimoff Legal at least meet or exceed these requirements.
  • Suppliers should take climate protection appropriately into account in their own operations.

To report any breach or potential breach of this Code of Conduct, to request more information or to provide feedback, please contact [email protected].

If a supplier, or any party in their supply chain, experiences difficulties or is unable to comply with this Code of Conduct, they should promptly notify Anisimoff Legal by contacting their Anisimoff Legal representative or [email protected]. Anisimoff Legal will seek to discuss any issues with suppliers or third parties and may require them to take such steps as we consider necessary to address the impact of, and remediate, the non-compliance.
